All American Rowing Camp, Week 2: Juniors

The Ashland Rowing Club had two sessions with the All American Rowing Camp in July. I attended both: as paying camper in the old fogie session as filling a seat in the junior's session. The rowing might have been better in the fogie session, but the junior session had pushing-off-the-dock and cannonball activities, which the fogies eschew.
Jim Dietz and Emma Wells. You may recognize Emma as the coxswain of the winning Men's 8+ at the NW Regionals Regatta in Vancouver, WA.
Mark Wilson coaching power application. (I forgot the young woman's name.)
This is Perry. She has lots of potential.

Emma working Jim for recommendation to college coaches.

Jim coordinates the ballet. The rowers are standing at their seats in an eight, oar between legs, alternating fluid arm movements. This is handy if one has won by several boat-lengths. Jim did it at the '72 Olympics.
