Scott River Loop Ride

I was invited to join some lovely cyclists on a 90ish mile loop starting and finishing at Tree of Heaven campground on the Klamath River. Naturally an uphill finish. Yreka, Fort Jones, and Quigley's Market were the only outposts along the route. I recommend the milkshakes at Quigleys.

It begins...

Sum peepul.

Hey! Wait for me!

Rees leads the charge.

Brisk gang

Pam and Renee.

Cyclists are very romantic.

The Scott River Valley.

Ted ID'd this as a coyote (at first).

Riding behing Brisk and Klamath who do not stop for photos, and ahead of other Klamath who enjoy life.

Alone in splendour....

Now along the Klamath.

Mother's Day flowers, if she bothers to check my blog.

The end of the ride. Thanks to Ted for towing us along.

Tolman Creek Road

Tolman Creek Road. The first bit is the worst.
Forecast: rain and snow.

The only snow was high above Ashland, well past where the pavement ends

A rare off-pavement outing for the this bike.

Two days on the bike....

And three frames later, the rainbow was gone....

Tolman Creek Road. Today it became much colder after 1000' of gain.
