Soho and Village birthday amble with Gigi begins....
Van Leeuwen ice cream truck (again). Chocolat de Michel Cluizel.
A Cuban sandwich at Cafe Habana.
Gigi is disturbed by trend of mismatched elements and boots, a theme that has haunted her of late. That is her elbow at left. Apparently I was supposed to include her in the shot as a survivor of this crime....
Perhaps a cocktail dress in her future?
Good orange juice, cranky waitress.
Chaos! More of the same look: now black, grey, with brown belt and mud-coloured boots.
By the addition of handy secessionist/gang gestures, I convert the Dominican jacket into the Dominic jacket. "No photos allowed in the store!"
Gigi has put all that hot air to good use.
Whee!
Gigi contemplates a descent into crass eclecticism/degeneracy.
I take a balloon for an outing. Gigi comes, too. The balloon says "My sister is mean," a response to a comment rude sister made with regards to the similarity between a balloon I drew a smile on and my head. From out lovely outdoor table the balloon floated in view of those inside. concierge and waiter came out to see the mean sister from a safe distance.
Campari soda lit by Hudson sunset.
Cake!
Each cream puff is filled with chocolate mousse and topped with sugar disc. Said puffs are excellent for breakfast, too.
All this work makes one thirsty!
Back to work.
More? Oh! We have a late arrival from Princeton!
Lesley! Flush with the excitement of early-arrival parents reception at Forbes College!
Putting her stamp on the trend.
"You eat olives, WILLINGLY??!!"
Dan of the Yayhoos.
Eric and Dan.
Lesley and Gigi enjoying the Mercury Lounge.
A fine birthday celebration with many thanks to Gigi and also to Lesley for schlepping in after work event.

Enlivened by...
...the Van Leeuwen ice cream truck (Prince and Greene--they give tastes!)
